This gem of a restaurant exceeds expectations in every way. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and kind. Dine in and take out are both available. Whatever you are in the mood for, Sam's Sushi has got you covered. The sushi at Sam's is nothing short of exceptional. Each roll is a masterpiece — beautifully presented with perfectly seasoned rice and the freshest fish you can imagine. My wife and I have been a fan of every roll that I have tried [and at this point I have tried most of them]! I would recommend calling ahead as their hours can vary. Also, sometimes they are not offering dine in and only take out [for example recently there was a sign-up saying Fridays are takeout only], but this can be remedied with a simple phone call! My wife and I are from out of town and make the effort to get a meal from Sam's Sushi every time we are in the area and always enjoy it immensely! Highly recommended!
Excellent sushi and tempura. The mixed tempura had delicious prawns and a good mix of veg. We went for the mixed sushi too. Again a good combination. The scallop melted in the mouth. Staff were super nice and friendly. Price was decent too. Highly recommended!
First time here, certainly won't be long before we return. Spicy miso was perfect and then we grazed through a selection of sushi, sashimi and rolls to try a bit of everything. Just lovely.

The food here was fantastic! We called ahead and ordered chefs special with a dollar amount. 7 courses later we were bursting! Absolutely amazing food, great service, and the chef came out multiple times to check on us. Highly reccomend!
So happy we discovered this lovely little sushi place in Parksville! The server was very friendly, food was good, and parking wasn't difficult on a weekday night.
Easily our favourite spot on the whole island. Food is absolutely excellent and the staff are so lovely. It feels like family there. I can not recommend this place enough and they couldn’t do anything better if they tried. 10000/10
This sushi restaurant was a great find. No frills, just fresh ingredients! They had free green tea which was lovely, we had the spicy miso soup which is a must have if you visit. Followed by inari, tuna, eel, and sockeye salmon nigiri. Super fresh, perfect proportions, we couldn’t ask for more. You can tell that the chef and restaurant owners/staff take pride in their product.
